Came across a new website last week called Kiva.org. It is an incredible site. It is not a Ministry in Name but Defiantly in Works. I can imagine a better thing in the world to do with $25.00. Kiva partners with organizations all over the world that partner with local business people who need money to start or further a business. Micro-Financing is the actual term.
The idea is that the people in the richest country in the world(America) can loan money in very small increments to help people in third world countries start businesses. This is not giving to the poor this is investing in the poor.
The site is so popular and people are so willing to help they limit donations! Imagine if the Church was helping people in such a that we actually had to tell people to only give us a little money. Anyway Rachel and I decided to invest in Usobov's Spare Parts. Its a spare parts store in Azerbaijan. He runs this store to support his family and was raising $1200.00 to expand his inventory.
